Moonstone carries its own light — and the Roshan cuff is designed to let it speak. Four oval Moonstone cabochons, each selected for their adularescent blue-white flash, are set in polished 18K gold-plated bezel settings along an open cuff that rests at the wrist with effortless precision. The contrast between the warm gold and the cool, almost otherworldly shimmer of the stones is what makes this piece quietly remarkable.
The adjustable open-bangle silhouette fits most wrist sizes and layers beautifully with finer chain bracelets or worn as a singular statement. Lightweight in hand but considered in presence, the Roshan moves between daily wear and festive occasions without needing to announce itself. Crafted for women who are drawn to things that hold depth beneath a calm surface — and who understand that the most enduring beauty is never loud.

ABOUT MOONSTONE
Of all the gemstones worn across human history, few have inspired as consistent and cross-cultural a reverence as Moonstone. Its name is not metaphor — it is description. The stone genuinely appears to carry light within it, a phenomenon gemologists call adularescence: a soft, billowing glow that moves across the surface as the viewing angle shifts, like light passing beneath still water or cloud crossing a full moon.
Moonstone is a feldspar mineral, and the finest specimens have historically come from Sri Lanka — where the stone has been mined for over two thousand years and is considered a sacred national gemstone. Other significant sources include India's Deccan Plateau, Myanmar, Madagascar, and parts of the Brazilian interior. The particular variety known as Rainbow Moonstone — distinguished by its blue adularescent flash against a near-transparent or white base — is among the most sought-after, prized for the clarity and intensity of its optical effect.
In ancient Rome, Moonstone was believed to be formed from solidified moonlight, and was associated with the lunar goddesses Diana and Selene. Roman jewellers set it into pieces worn during the full moon, believing its power intensified with the lunar cycle. In ancient India, it was considered a sacred and auspicious stone — one of the traditional navratna gemstones in certain regional interpretations — and was associated with Chandra, the moon deity. It was gifted between lovers and kept in homes as a symbol of good fortune and fertility. In Hindu tradition, Moonstone placed under the tongue during a full moon was believed to reveal the future — a practice documented across multiple regional texts.
In the European Art Nouveau movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Moonstone experienced a significant revival. Masters like René Lalique incorporated it extensively into jewellery that celebrated the feminine, the mystical, and the natural world. It became the stone of choice for those drawn to beauty that was intuitive rather than imperial — soft rather than showy.
Today, Moonstone is traditionally associated with the divine feminine, with cycles and rhythm, with emotional attunement and the kind of intuition that comes not from analysis but from stillness. It is worn by women who are in seasons of transition — beginning something, releasing something, or simply learning to trust what they already know.
CRYSTAL PROPERTIES
- Traditionally associated with the divine feminine and lunar energy — worn across cultures as a stone of intuition, emotional depth, and inner knowing
- Linked in Vedic tradition to Chandra (the moon) and believed to support emotional balance, calm, and receptivity
- Long considered a stone of new beginnings and cycles — traditionally gifted during transitions, milestones, and moments of personal renewal
- Associated in many traditions with fertility, nurturing energy, and the strengthening of feminine instinct and wisdom
- Believed by crystal practitioners to support restful sleep and gentle introspection when kept close during evening hours
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove before bathing, swimming, or applying perfume, oils, or lotions — Moonstone's surface is relatively soft and its finish can be affected by prolonged moisture or chemical exposure
- Store separately in a soft cloth pouch to protect the stone's surface from scratching — Moonstone rates 6–6.5 on the Mohs scale and should be kept away from harder gemstones
- Wipe gently after each wear with a dry, lint-free cloth to maintain the stone's natural adularescent glow
- Avoid leaving the bracelet in direct sunlight for extended periods — though Moonstone is traditionally cleansed under moonlight, which also serves as a gentle energetic reset
- To energetically cleanse, place overnight under the light of a full or new moon; avoid salt water and sound bowls placed directly on the stone, which may affect its surface
